Website Hosting / Carolina Idea

A solid home.
For your next big idea.

Give your website a foundation that fits the way your business works. Carolina Idea helps you plan website hosting, technical responsibilities, and ongoing care without the guesswork.

The work behind the website

Good design needs
a dependable foundation.

Hosting is more than choosing a place to store files. Define the environment, the safeguards, and the people responsible for keeping your website supported.

01

Hosting matched to your site

Review the size of your website, its features, expected traffic, and technical requirements. Choose an environment that fits the workload rather than assuming every site needs the same plan.

02

HTTPS and domain setup

Plan SSL certificate setup and renewal responsibilities, domain connections, and DNS changes. Check existing email and other domain services before making changes.

03

Performance planning

Review caching, image delivery, and resource needs alongside the website itself. Identify where hosting configuration can help and where the website needs additional optimization.

04

Backups and recovery

Define backup frequency, retention, storage, and the process for requesting a restore. Agree on recovery responsibilities instead of assuming every hosting package includes the same protection.

05

Updates and ongoing care

Clarify who handles WordPress, theme, and plugin updates, security checks, and compatibility testing. Maintenance can be included or scoped separately according to your plan.

06

A clear support path

Know where to raise an issue, what information to provide, and which types of work are covered. Set expectations for support hours, response targets, and any third-party dependencies.

Clear expectations from day one

The right plan.
Not a list of assumptions.

Your hosting proposal sets out the provider or environment, resource limits, backup policy, support arrangements, maintenance responsibilities, and fees. No fixed uptime guarantee, unlimited resources, round-the-clock support, or specific recovery time is implied without an agreed service commitment.

Already hosted somewhere else? Start with a review of your current setup. A migration plan can address file and database transfers, compatibility checks, DNS timing, and post-move testing. Any migration work is agreed before changes are made.

One connected website strategy

A strong foundation.
A better experience on top.

Hosting supports your website; it does not replace good design, useful content, or ongoing optimization. Connect the technical foundation with a clear customer experience and a practical marketing plan.

Good questions. Clear answers.

Before we make a move.

Know what to expect before taking the next step.

Can you help move an existing website?

We can review the existing setup and scope migration work. Access requirements, compatibility, timing, backups, and testing should be agreed before moving files or changing DNS.

Are backups, security, and maintenance included?

These responsibilities are defined in your proposal. Confirm the backup schedule and retention, security measures, update responsibilities, and any restore or maintenance fees before selecting a plan.

Is business email included with website hosting?

Email hosting, domain registration, and website hosting are different services. Do not assume they are bundled. We will clarify which services are in scope and how existing email will be protected during a website move.
